It was a distant memory, almost a faint distinction of a woman shrouded under a long black veil. There was an air of distinct elegance about her, as she moved within the four walls of the apartment. She rested in the comfort of the knowledge that her children were safe and well, that her husband had enough food to eat and her job was not yet irreplaceable.
